Nomad Styles: The Skirt

In this last week of our Kickstarter campaign, I am revealing one new look per day using seven of the pieces from our collection. I started with two pieces I love but that have not received a lot of attention or pre-orders--The Peplum Top and The Culotte Pants. But today's featured item has been the seller of the entire campaign thus far, only edged out by The Tank Top which is our entry price point.

The genius of The Skirt is three-fold. First, it is easy to wear for women of all shapes and sizes. It sits at the natural waist and instantly floats away from the hips in a soft yet structured way. Second, the gathers in the fabric create the most perfect bell-shape while the sturdier weave of the fabric itself ensures the shape stays in place. Third, The Skirt can easily be dressed up or down. Wear it with a pointed flat and cropped blazer for a creative professional look or wear it as seen here with a fitted top and heeled sandals.

Funny story. My friend, Nicole, offered to model a few pieces for me. I knew I wanted to put her in the skirt but I couldn't find a top that fit her the way it needed to from my store (AKA my day job). Instead, we decided to layer a fitted dress under the skirt since it tucked in easily without adding bulk on top. That's what you see here! She's actually wearing a dress under the skirt!
