How to Wear: The Pants
In this second installment of our ten looks in ten days series, I have chosen to feature the pants. Once again, I kept it simple. A basic, ever-so-slightly distressed denim shirt and the same pair of leather flats from yesterday's post round out the look for easy summer dressing.
You'll notice over the course of this series that I am starting with the most casual and easy to put together looks and will end with the more stylized and accessorized ones. The reason for this is that I don't want anyone to think our clothing might not work for her (or him, for that matter). Whether the time you spend in your closet is limited to grabbing a pair of pants and a shirt or whether you carefully craft a "look" based on your mood every morning, our clothing--especially this summer collection--will work for you.
The pants from this second collection are made of a super soft cotton that has been block printed. Block printing has been an Indian practice in Rajasthan since the 18th century. It takes about ten to fifteen days to complete the block printing process.
I haven't yet crunched the numbers but I am fairly certain our pants have been this collection's number one bestseller. Lucky for you if you live in or near Alexandria, VA, I am hosting a pop up shop this Friday evening at Ascend Cycle! I'm waiting to see all that Mom has sent me for the event but I know I at least have one pair of pants left for this show! If you haven't purchased them for yourself yet, this is your chance. Or you can always buy them online right here! (Well, at least until we run out of the fabric!)
The clothing and shoes that are not part of the Threads by Nomad collection can be found at The Hive (301 Cameron) and The Shoe Hive (127 S. Fairfax) in Alexandria, Virginia.
