Ponder, Pray and Plan
You haven't heard from us in a little while and I suppose that's for a couple of reasons. First, we wanted to enjoy the holiday with our families and as few distractions as possible. So we set aside our phones and computers and attempted to live a little more in the moment. Second, I think we both needed to take a few days to ponder, pray and plan. With the new year upon us, we have considered what our company's growth plan looks like and the future looks bright! But it is going to take a lot of hard work and a few adjustments here and there.
One of those adjustments is the pricing of our gift items. In the beginning we wanted to sell them at a more accessible price point than our clothing. But now that we've made a number of them we realize we simply cannot maintain the current prices and sustain our business. So, starting January 1, we will be raising the prices as follows:
- Pillowcases are currently $29 and will be raised to $45.
- Pillows are currently $39 and will be raised to $55.
- Clutches are currently $85 and will be raised to $95.
A second adjustment relates to shipping. We desperately wanted to provide our customers with free shipping, but our margins simply cannot support it. Starting January 1, we will charge a flat $10 shipping charge within the United States. We will continue to try and find ways to lower our shipping costs and if we are able to consistently spend less than $10 we will return to free shipping. (If anyone has any ideas on this, please let us know!)
In happier news, along with these changes, we will announce a couple of new products shortly after the new year. And in the meantime, we encourage you to take advantage of the last couple of days of lower prices and free shipping! We also just added two new colors to the pillow/pillowcase options: orange and brown, as pictured here.
