Nomad Styles: The Jacket

Most of the designs in our collection originated in my brain. But The Jacket was actually my mom's design. She had wanted something like it for herself for a while, had some fabric to play around with, and mocked it up as our very first piece. Hayder and I have since improved on the fit and design, but were smitten with her idea of marrying many of the collection's fabrics in this one piece.

The length of the jacket is strategic; it falls from the shoulder to the natural waistline. It has a slim fit but does not hug. There is no shoulder seam to improve fit and add comfort. The cut and combination of fabrics make it easy to mix and match with styles you already own. While I recognize this piece likely falls outside of many women's closet comfort zones, I wanted to showcase here how it can be worn with classics like a while collared shirt, skinny jeans and slip-on sneakers.
