Refugee women have lost so much in the escape from violence, persecution, & war.
Make Welcome Sewing School comes alongside these brave women through giving welcome, friendship and support as they establish a new home and a new life in North Carolina. They accomplish this through:
- Providing welcoming community through sewing classes, cultural exchanges and friendship building
- Enabling to thrive in the United States through vocational training, job skills building and English tutoring
- Giving hope for the future through mental health support and practical care in navigating American culture
