Threads is popping up in Houston.

Threads by Nomad is popping up in Houston. Dr. Sairah Malik and Dr. Sana Malik owners of ProOptix Eye Care have a heart to see small businesses owned by women be successful. They also have a true heart to see refugees thrive, not just survive. When I met them and told them the Threads by Nomad story they immediately offered not only encouragement and advice, they asked, "What can we do? We host events. Would you like to host an event at ProOptix?" Of course, we took them up on their offer! And then came Harvey. Our event was postponed but that did not discourage Sairah and Sana. We immediately rescheduled! On October 12th from 5 - 8 p.m., we would love to have you come join us for some finger foods and drinks, look around at what ProOptix has to offer, and shop Threads by Nomad.

We will have a few pieces from our first collection there at 50% off, our spring India collection, and pieces from our newest fall collection. PLUS, you will be the first to see and have an opportunity to purchase our nativities from Kyrgyzstan!

This is also the perfect opportunity to meet our artisans. Our master tailor, Haydar will be there. He is amazing! Do you want something special made? Come with your ideas and he will have his measuring tape on hand. Narmin, our silk artist, will be there. You will be the first to see and score one of her new designs created just for Threads by Nomad. (They're not even listed on the website yet!) And you will meet Atia, who does all of our crochet and embroidery. We are even working on a new project with her that will be revealed in the next few weeks.

We can't wait to see you! If you sign up for our email right here we will send you a 20% off coupon. Also, if you schedule an appointment that night with ProOptix they will waive your insurance co-pay fee. Trust us, you will love how they care for you and you will love their frames! I just received my new glasses!

We are so thankful for each of you and the many ways you encourage us. See you on the 12th!
