Article: World Refugee Day (and 30% off everything!)

World Refugee Day (and 30% off everything!)

We are now witnessing the highest levels of displacement on record. An unprecedented 65.3 million people around the world have been forced from home. Among them are nearly 21.3 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18. There are also ten million stateless people who have been denied a nationality and access to basic rights such as education, healthcare, employment and freedom of movement. 34,000 people are forcibly displaced every single day. These are just a handful of the numbers we hope you will grapple with tomorrow on World Refugee Day. We ask only that you never look away, that you see and acknowledge those who are forced from their homes because of violence, famine, and persecution, that you respond with open hearts and never fear.

Threads by Nomad is responding to today's refugee crisis in a small but important way, by providing resettled refugees with sustainable income and in the process communicating to them their inherent worth and value to our community. If you would like to support us in this effort, please shop on our website and get 30% off your order using the code REFUGEE30 at checkout. The discount code is only valid tomorrow, June 20th. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at support@threadsbynomad.com.
